Entry Requirements:
Ability to perform intermediate manoeuvres on an unbroken wave and the ability to swim 500 meters in less than 10 minutes. 18 years and over.
Outcome: Full accreditation.
Description:
1 month course designed for intermediate level surfers to obtain the necessary qualifications to be a fully qualified surf coach. The course develops the following skills:
Develop intermediate surf skills
Surf safety and surf rescue
First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation
Surf coaching and training skills
Qualifications Obtained:
The 1 month course provides you with all necessary qualifications to commence surf coach work immediately after your course. These include:
OSSCA (Ocean Safety Surf Coach Award) issued by the Lifeguard Association
Senior First Aid
Advanced Resuscitation
Surf Coach Level 1
25 hours required surf coaching work experience at our accredited surf school
Inclusions:

Surf Instructor Courses
Getting your surf qualifications can be a complicated and lengthy procedure. Mojosurf Surf Academy courses prepare you for getting your qualifications and develop your surfing skills to the next level.
The surf academy courses are run by Level 2 qualified surf coaches at our purpose built surf camp two hours from Byron Bay on the beautiful mid north coast of Australia.
All accommodation and food is provided so you only need to concentrate on getting your surf fitness up, improving your surf skills and getting your instructor qualifications. We will also assist with job placement opportunities and the prospect of getting a surf coaching job at one of our 4 surf schools exists.
Courses:
All our couses start on Mojosurf's 5 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure (Except Fast Track).
Enrolment Dates:
1st Monday of every month.
Departs Sydney:
Monday morning at 7:15am from 509 Pitt Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.
